Padstow is a picturesque working fishing port located on the North Cornish Coast offering a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and amenities as well as water sport activities. The surrounding area has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty with several sandy beaches being within two to four miles.
The increasingly popular village of St Merryn boasts various shops, cafes and pubs serving fresh local sourced dishes including fresh fish,crab, mussels and steaks (The Farmers Arms Pub, Rick Steins The Cornish Arms and Rafferty's wine and dining.) There is often live music and various seasonal fayres and fetes. There is a Chinese takeaway and Fish & Chips (as well as famous Barnecutts Bakery with fresh bread traditional Cornish Pasties/Cakes and Deli counter!) and grocery store with extensive wine and beers selection, surf shop as well as a medieval church. The championship links golf courses of Trevose golf and country club is close by.
Popular local activities - All types of water sports are available on the River Camel, water skiing, windsurfing, and sailing, prove to be very popular in both summer and winter. Cycling, with bike hires available on the Camel Trail.
Hiking and fishing trips, Not forgetting the famous surfing beaches of Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay and Watergate Bay (to name just a few) only a short drive away.
