Other things to do in Cornwall this Easter

There are plenty of Easter events happening in the county this year, but what about other things to do? Here are some of our favourite ideas for things to do at this time of year that don’t rely on your being available on a certain date.

Two children feeding a bunny on a farm

Enjoy an Easter lunch out

Mark the occasion by treating yourself to lunch out at one of the fantastic restaurants that Cornwall has to offer.

Visit spring animals at a local farm

Since it’s the season of bunnies, chicks and baby sheep, it’s an ideal time to visit a farmyard attraction to see (or feed!) them. We love Macdonald’s Farm, near Padstow or Dairyland, near Newquay.

Take an Easter walk or cycle

With the weather becoming more mild and a higher chance of some sunshine, spring is a great time to take a walk or try cycling one of the trails in Cornwall – especially after an Easter lunch! There are plenty of beautiful beaches in the county that would make a great choice for a walk.

Sample an afternoon tea or cream tea

While afternoon tea is a welcome treat at any time of year, there’s certainly something that feels very fitting with the season about scones, jam and clotted cream (don’t forget that it’s JAM first when in Cornwall!). There are lots of fantastic afternoon tea venues in Cornwall to choose from.

Create your own Easter egg hunt

If you’re in a holiday cottage or property with a garden, there’s always the option to make the most of the opportunity to create your own egg hunt! Visit the local shops to find eggs or chocolate treats, and get set up for family fun in the comfort of your accommodation.
